The iPad’s split keyboard is supposed to increase your typing speed. This speed can further be increased if you have knowledge of the six invisible keys on the split keyboard.
The letters t, g, v, y, h, and b are located on the edge of their respective sides on the split keyboard. All these letters actually are located on the keyboard twice; just outside the gray areas of the keyboard segments, you can tap hidden keys that represent the letters horizontally adjacent to them. For example, the areas near the letters t, g, v, y, h, and b, are actually keys for y, h, b, t, g, and v, respectively.
